Frustrated with the dreaded bowling ally room? This space is the perfect example of sophistication at it's best. To add a rich, young vibe to this space, the herringbone wood floors were stained an ebony color and the cabinets in a white shade.

Design Tip: When dramatically changing the look of a room, look for easy shortcuts that will pull the room together. In this case, the formerly brass-colored sconces were spray-painted black to match the new ebony floors; cleaver and budget-friendly...

Make Organization Easy - Chalkboard Dresser

High Impact/Low Cost Artwork Little Girl's Room

Hope you have enjoyed our tribute this month to the children and in the process acquired some great inspiration and ideas for your child's space that will celebrate how proud we are of their accomplishments. In the final week of August we wanted to celebrate the princesses that give us such joy.

Like icing on the cake, artwork adds the finishing touch. For less than $20, RMSer KristianArt created an eye-catching focal point above her daughter's bed by painting a large board in colors pulled from the bedding. Share the project with your little princess; it's priceless quality time that will be remembered for many years to come...

Summer is coming to a close; the perfect time to give your child a great back-to-school treat that is also a budget-friendly treat for you. The past two weeks we've shared some great ideas for your child's space. Are you ready to join us and transform your kids' rooms without breaking the bank; well you've come to the right place... Check out this stylish, yet inexpensive space. Mix the old with the new. RMSer chunkymonkey adds an old-fashioned touch with vintage paper doll artwork and a repainted sewing machine table.
