Romance the Bedroom Series: Week 6

Romantic Bedroom Series Week 6Hi Friends,

Welcome to Week 6 of our Romance the Bedroom Series. We appreciate your continued support and send a special thank you to Caren Baginski and Candice Olson. If your boudoir could use a boost, here is inspiration to create your own romantic retreat — whether you dream of a lavish suite or prefer glamor on a budget layering a contemporary, monochromatic bedroom will give you a space that is inviting and comfortable.

Contemporary, monochromatic bedrooms look more flattering when layered. Create texture with a gray/pewter damask duvet and shams, metallic fabrics for the bedskirt and pillows, and luxurious silk for the window treatment. How do you get this look on a budget; easy? Visit your local linen outlet or with the economy, hit a sale at your favorite department store and don't be afraid to approach the clearance section; you might be surprised at the economical finds.

With busy careers you will undoubtedly find yourself in desperate need of some quiet time and want a retreat from the hustle and bustle of what has become our everyday lives. Unwind and relax, if only for a few precious moments, in a space that is not only sophisticated but cozy.

If you have a big, bland uninspiring master bedroom or just a small cozy space, turn the space into a luxurious adult area in which you can rest, relax and even put your feet up and read that favorite book. It's all up to you!
