Sweater Texture
Courtesy of Brian Patrick Flynn
Hi Friends,
Texture is a non-literal way to bring touches of winter into your space. The look and feel of a cable-knit sweater is evocative of a winter wardrobe. To use this texture in an unexpected manner, consider ceramic or plaster vessels featuring the cable-knit pattern. You can even make your own vessels by cutting old sweaters to size and adhering them directly to glass or ceramic vases with spray adhesive or starch.
Simple but so beautiful, right?

Wool Sofa Pillows
Courtesy of Farima Alavi
Hi Friends,
Repurpose your old sweaters and incorporate them into your decor this winter season. This idea will give your space a warm, inviting feel during the colder months.
Sweater pillows add interest and texture to a space. Alicia transitioned the look of her living room by accenting her sofa with pillows covered with wool material. The soft-gray palette stands out against the neutral sofa and accessories.

Happy President's Day!
Hi Friends,
We wanted to share this poem about our leaders who put pride in Red, White & Blue.
Our Presidents
by Winifred Sackville Stoner, Jr.
George Washington, Adams and Jefferson three
First rulers of Uncle Sam’s land of the free:
Then Madison, Monroe and Adams again
All clever and upright and good honest men;
The Jackson, Van Buren and Harrison first,
Tyler and Polk whose terms were so curst
By war with the Mexicans who lost in the fray -
Then Taylor and Fillmore and Pierce held their sway.
Buchanan and Lincoln, Johnson and Grant,
Then Hayes, martyred Garfield, despiser of cant,
Arthur and Cleveland, Harrison (Ben)
McKinley the martyr, beloved by all men;
Then most energetic and strenuous Teddy
And plump William Taft for a second term ready
When Wilson was placed in this nation’s great chair
And promised to always rule wisely and fair.

Easy Doily Garland

Happy Valentine Friends,
To create a doily garland, fold six-inch doilies in half and use double-sided table to attach a thin ribbon in the crease of each doily. Use a paper punch or hand cut small hearts; attach to the center of each doily with double-sided tape.
An easy project you can complete on your lunch today for display tomorrow...

Photography by Vicki Lynn Photography
Happy Valentine Friends,
Instead of candy hearts this Valentine's Day, create conversation cupcakes with these adorable labels.
Materials Needed:
- card stock
- 4" lollipop sticks
- 1" round white labels
- paper punch
- scissors
Click HERE to download printable label template.
Make Cupcake Toppers
Download the printable cupcake topper template and print out on card stock. If using a paper punch, cut the labels into rows to allow for the paper to fit into the punch. You can also cut the labels into rectangles, if you don't have a punch handy. Use a round label to attach a lollipop stick to the backside of each label.
Your guest will appreciate the new take on a classic - have fun...

Crystal Clear

Hi Friends,
Doilies not only make perfect supplies for crafting, they also make eye-catching place cards. Simply write the name of each guest onto a circular doily, seal it with a kiss and place beneath a clear glass plate. The result is a girly and unique place setting that can be repeated time and time again.

Think Pink

Photography by Hayden Spears
Hi Friends,
When else can you get away with setting an entirely pink table? Punch up the color with horizontal runners, bright glasses and vases wrapped in crepe paper. When placed on top of butcher paper, the table can easily be cleared after dessert, revealing a perfect workspace for crafting.

Valentine's Day Mantel Display
Courtesy of Layla Palmer
Hi Friends,
Add a temporary touch of sweetness to any mantel by injecting it with red or pink. On this mantel, red and pink accents pop amongst a variety of crisp black and white elements. To switch up the look after Valentine's Day, just remove the red and pink bits, and replace them with something a little more neutral or that matches the other accent colors in your space. Have fun, get creative and enjoy the results...

Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

Photography by Hayden Spears
Hi Friends,
There's no question that Valentine's Day is all about sweets. Guests will love the chance to indulge in a stunning display of desserts; when displayed down the middle of the table, they double as a striking centerpiece. French macarons, chocolate fudge cakes and rosemary panna cotta are all fittingly indulgent, while a delicious cheese plate adds a savory touch to the menu.
