Charming Chalkboard Sign

Propped up against a wooden barrel, this cute DIY chalkboard sign asks guests to choose a seat and not a side. Now all you need is this nifty faux calligraphy hack to guide your writing.
Boho Chic

Colorful blooms in pink, orange and purple tie together with eucalyptus to create this gorgeous wedding arbor. Antlers and macrame complete the boho chic design.
Aisle Verses

Simple wood signs decorated with hand-lettered bible verses are a sweet, understated addition to this pretty outdoor affair.
Vintage Church Doors

Create a surprising backdrop at the altar by bringing indoor elements outside to define the space. These old church doors owned by Nashville event designer Cedarwood Weddings give the outdoor setting a more traditional, old-fashioned feel.
A Ladder Archway
Photo By: Janie Medley Flora Design
Get creative and develop a one-of-a-kind archway. Simple wooden ladders have been placed together to create this unique archway. Placed on the steps of the ladders are floral bouquets that tie in with the colors of the wedding. Arrangements of dahlias, ranunculus and garden roses add a pop of color in this rustic setting. Additions like paper flowers or party poms can be used to create a garland similar to this one.

If you want to save some money on the floral arrangements, consider a romantic and dramatic ceremony aisle with lanterns and candles. This would look lovely for an evening wedding as the soft glow surrounds you and your spouse-to-be.
Freestanding Mantel

Another way to bring the indoors out? A freestanding mantel, gorgeous wreath and small area rug makes an ideal backdrop for an intimate backyard wedding.
An Altar of Blooms

A whiskey barrel topped with a sweet lace handkerchief and vintage white vase filled with white hydrangeas and blush pink roses creates a beautiful country display for an outdoor wedding.
Pink Floral & Ribbon Altar

Yet another budget-friendly option for the altar is to use strands of ribbon in your wedding colors. You can combine the ribbons with a striking floral arrangement on the top of the arbor or stick with ribbons only. Either way, the colorful, magical backdrop will make for a great photo op with your new spouse.
An Indoor Canopy

For an indoor wedding, a bold floral canopy is a beautiful way to bring the outdoors in. Leafy greens and white flowers are used to bring color and life inside this wood-paneled barn.
A Romantic Trellis

For a wedding that is all about romance, a trellis draped in roses truly expresses the sentiment. The swags for this trellis are made of an arrangement of huckleberry, lemon leaf and seeded eucalyptus.
Hanging Aisle Lanterns

Aisle-side decor adds a touch of romance to the ceremony. This chair-back bouquet and lantern were styled by Cedarwood Weddings. But don’t worry if you can’t afford to deck the entire aisle, you can stick with just the reserved family seating.
Strands of Light Bulbs
You can’t go wrong with minimalist décor in a beautiful natural setting. This wedding photographed by Austin Gros used only several strands of exposed Edison light bulbs to complement the surroundings — the gardens at California’s Historic Sand Rock Farm.
White Florals
Give the ceremony aisle a fresh and elegant look with white hydrangeas and roses tied to each chair lining the aisle.
Reclaimed Buffet
Customize your fall wedding with a unique piece of furniture at the altar — such as a reclaimed vintage buffet. Topped with vibrant floral arrangements and surrounded by lush greenery, this is an easy and budget-friendly way to decorate the ceremony.
Rustic Altar

A hinged plywood altar and wooden benches help to create a lovely, rustic setting. Cream and yellow wildflowers in antique crocks line the aisle, perched on top of pieces of tree stump.
Floral Hoops

Using metal hoops, ribbon, flowers, and greenery from your local grocery store, you can easily recreate this altar. Embroidery hoops or fabric-covered hula hoops would work well, too. Secure each floral arrangement to the top of the hoop using floral wire. Lastly, hang the hoops at different heights from a wooden post.
Blue Mason Jars With Baby's Breath
Quilts laid over bales of hay soften the seats for this outdoor wedding. Stumps at the end of each row are topped with a simple display of baby's breath in a blue-tinted mason jar — a cute and cost-efficient way to decorate on a budget.
Rustic Wooded Ceremony

A wedding arch comprised of wood sticks creates the perfect scene for a wooded autumn ceremony. Fallen leaves give natural color and provide the pathway to the altar.
Dangling Flowers

Arrange and hang small glass vases with twine in different heights and fill with a few flowers that match your color scheme. This is a creative and more cost-efficient way to use less flowers at the ceremony.
Antique Stained Glass Windows
Lining the altar, vintage stained glass windows backlit with candles give this outdoor ceremony the feel of a church wedding.
Sweet & Romantic

Ivory linens and a few bright, tropical blooms create a sweet, romantic backdrop for a beach wedding. Simple, yet stunning decor works well for a setting that is already impressive.
Modern Indoor Altar
Lining the aisles and forming the altar, white rose petals pair with acrylic candle holders to create a romantic ambience for this indoor ceremony. A lush mantel floral arrangement adds a bright pop of color to the chic, modern design.
Dreamy Garden Setting
Red and white roses mixed with beautiful greenery form an arch to bring a whimsical feel to an outdoor ceremony. A white entry table serves as the perfect place for the unity ceremony as the two love birds become one. Watering a tree and filling containers with sand are just a couple of ways for you and your spouse to symbolize your unity.
DIY Paper Garland
Dress up a plain birch altar with eucalyptus and strands of paper garland to make a simple, yet lovely backdrop for the ceremony. White garland works great for the minimalist bride, but if you want a little more color, try using shades of one of your wedding colors to create an ombre effect.
DIY Door Backdrop
Simple and chic, three old doors were used to create this stunning ceremony backdrop.
Green Galore
This lush, green arbor is a perfect complement to its mountain backdrop.

Mark's Garden created this lush and colorful arbor using roses, hydrangea, bougainvillea and more as a spectacular focal point for a home wedding in California.
Pops of Pink

An arbor was draped with white fabric and floral swags for this California wedding. The flowers and foliage include 'Juliet' and 'Romantic Antike' roses; jasmine, in season from March through August; orange ranunculus and coral peonies, in season during the summer; young pomegranates, available in California from October to January; and olive foliage.
