The 25 Days of Christmas Day 5: Christmas in Green and Gold Complimented by Peach Cobbler Recipe

Merry Christmas Friends,

It's our pleasure to continue the 25 Days of Christmas feature for you, our good friends. December 1st through December 25th you can visit our blog for helpful, money-saving ideas to decorate your space for the holidays. It's just a little something to show our appreciation for your continued support of Interior Design eBlog.

Step away from the traditional green-and-red color theme and try a green-and-gold color scheme for the Christmas tree by adding stems of glittering faux greenery to the tree. A good rule of thumb is to add the largest ornaments to the tree closest to the trunk and decrease the size of the ornaments as you work your way out to the branch ends.

Traditional holiday decorating is a way of life for some but it's becoming more common-place to implement a touch of the modern-day holiday. A combination of the old and new is an excellent idea and you may be surprised with the results.

Enjoy and share this Peach Cobbler recipe courtesy of Paula Deen.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup self-rising flour
8 tablespoon (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup water
2 cup sugar, divided
4 cup peeled, sliced peaches
1 1/2 cup milk
ground cinnamon, optional

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Combine the peaches, 1 cup sugar, and water in a saucepan and mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat.

Put the butter in a 3-quart baking dish and place in oven to melt. Mix remaining 1 cup sugar, flour, and milk slowly to prevent clumping. Pour mixture over melted butter. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup. Sprinkle top with ground cinnamon, if using. Batter will rise to top during baking. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes. To serve, scoop onto a plate and serve with your choice of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Recipe courtesy Paula Deen
