The 25 Days of Christmas Day 6: Neutrals That Sparkle Complimented by Loaded Mashed Potato Recipe

Merry Christmas Friends,

It's our pleasure to continue the 25 Days of Christmas feature for you, our good friends. December 1st through December 25th you can visit our blog for helpful, money-saving ideas to decorate your space for the holidays. It's just a little something to show our appreciation for your continued support of Interior Design eBlog.

Use neutral accents to create a delicate holiday display. This chocolate-brown living room is ready for the holidays with subtle, elegant touches. Small lighted trees and cream-colored stockings highlight the mantel, while gold ornaments placed strategically around the room add extra sparkle. Although elegant, this room can be put together with little or no money. Utilize existing decorations, if you don't have cream-colored accents or furnishings go with a taupe to get a similar effect. The object is to lighten the decor which can be accomplished with any light tone. Be creative, step outside the box.

Ingredients:
2 heads garlic
6 pounds Idaho potatoes, peeled and quartered
Salt
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

1 1/2 pounds cooked bacon, julienned

Drain and return to stockpot. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth; adding salt, pepper, butter, garlic and sour cream. With a spatula stir in cheese and bacon. Add more salt and pepper, if necessary. Serve immediately.
